Fight flakes with Oribes Serene Scalp collection
During these Winter months, most people find themselves having some sort of scalp imbalance. In the past you may have had to go to a Dermatologist if you were having symptoms of a dry or itchy scalp. We're happy to have an at home fix brought to you by Oribe called Serene Scalp. This 3-step at home treatment line contains 2% salicylic acid which is the highest amount you can receive before getting a prescription. Whether you have a dry scalp, dandruff, or excessive oil production, Serene Scalp will use the salicylic acid to exfoliate the scalp, eliminating build up while alleviating itchiness and irritation. It is gentle enough for daily use, and we recommend using the full 3-step system together until finished to get the best results. The Serene Scalp Line is a favorite among men as they naturally produce more oil, and will benefit from a healthy scalp (plus they are usually fans of the treatment tingle).
Think of this collection like a facial for the scalp. The light exfoliation will remove dead or damaged skin cells and refine the texture of the scalp to leave it looking and feeling better immediately. Salicylic acid is a main ingredient used in skin care to treat acne prone skin, which tends to be very sensitive, so this ingredient will resurface the skin without irritation.

Let's determine if you are a good candidate by diving in a little deeper to the differences between dandruff, dry scalp, and oily scalp. Dandruff and dry scalp tend to have the same main symptoms, a dry and itchy scalp which result in falling flakes. Dandruff is caused by an overproduction of oil on the scalp. This excess oil leads to skin cell build up, ultimately causing it to shed in flakes. Dry scalp is caused by not enough oil production on the scalp which triggers dryness, tightness and irritation. Having dry hair and a dry scalp can make the scalp produce more oil to try to help rehydrate and this can cause an oily scalp.
STEP ONE: Start with Serene scalp Shampoo, apply a dime-sized amount to wet hair at the roots. Ingredients like watermelon, bilberry fruit & sugar maple extracts hydrate the hair and protect against any damage. Caffeine is added to engerzie the scalp while rejuvenating the hair follicles and pea sprout extract restores elasticity to strengthen hair. Lastly, our favorite ingredient, salicylic acid is added to gently exfoliate and to help calm irritation.

STEP TWO: Lather on the Serene Scalp Balancing Conditioner from scalp to ends. This calming conditioner balances it all while deeply hydrating the hair and scalp. It uses Shea butter and Panthenol to hydrate and condition strands while removing any build-up. It also acts as a great detangler leaving the hair silky and soft.
STEP THREE: The final step is to use the Soothing Leave On Treatment. Apply small drops onto wet or dry scalp, it is so lightweight you don't have to worry about it leaving an oily residue. It's a lightweight and fast absorbing spot treatment that uses camomile to calm and mint to cool. This will create instant relief to any concentrated area on the scalp where you need a little boost of moisture on the go. You can also use the spot treatment to relieve tension after a long day in a tight ponytail, or if you ever get scalp irritation after a color service.
